You cannot directly transfer American Express (Amex) Membership Rewards points to Alaska Airlines. However, you can transfer them to a partner airline, such as British Airways or Delta, and then book a flight with Alaska Airlines. Here’s how you can do that with both British Airways and Delta:
- Transfer Amex points to British Airways Executive Club: Log in to your American Express account and navigate to the Membership Rewards page. Select British Airways Executive Club as the transfer partner, input the number of points you want to transfer, and review your information. Confirm your transfer request to complete the process.
- Book Alaska Airlines flights with Avios: After your points have been transferred to your British Airways Executive Club account, you can book Alaska Airlines award tickets using Avios through the “book with Avios” page on the British Airways website. Alaska Airlines flights are now bookable on the British Airways website and display alongside other Oneworld partner awards.
- Transfer Amex points to Delta SkyMiles: Log in to your American Express account and navigate to the Membership Rewards page. Select Delta SkyMiles as the transfer partner, input the number of points you want to transfer, and review your information. Confirm your transfer request to complete the process.
- Book Alaska Airlines flights with Delta SkyMiles: Although you cannot directly book Alaska Airlines flights using Delta SkyMiles, you can use your SkyMiles to book flights with other partner airlines that have codeshare agreements with Alaska Airlines. To do this, search for flights on the Delta website or the Fly Delta app, and check the box next to “Shop with Miles” on delta.com or “Show Price in Miles” on the app.
Remember that all points transfers are final, so make sure to double-check your information before confirming the transfer.
