- Delta website: Log in to your account on delta.com and book your flight. Select a Main Cabin ticket, and you will be given the cash price of upgrading your seat. You can also upgrade your seat by logging in to the website and managing your existing booking.
- Fly Delta app: Download the Fly Delta app and log in to your account. Tap on “Upgrade My Seat,” select the type of upgrade you want (Comfort+, Main Cabin Extra, or Main Cabin Select), and then tap “confirm.
- Delta customer service: Call Delta customer service at 800-221-1212 or +1-802-430-6211 (24-hour toll-free) to upgrade your seat.
If you have an upgrade certificate, such as a Global Upgrade Certificate (GUC) or Regional Upgrade Certificate (RUC), you can apply it to your booking. For new bookings, you can upgrade online by selecting the “Upgrade Certificate Request” box on the checkout page and choosing the type of upgrade certificate you’d like to use. For existing bookings, you may need to call Delta customer service to apply the certificate.
If you’re a Delta Medallion member, you can also be eligible for complimentary upgrades based on your Medallion status. Additionally, holding certain credit cards or using miles or cash can help you upgrade your ticket.
Keep in mind that seat upgrades are subject to availability and may have certain restrictions, such as being available only to elite members of Delta’s SkyMiles program.
